“Matin” is the second personal exhibition at the Italian gallery, curated by Stefano Monti.

December 24, 1983, six young boys are invited to play music in a church before Christmas mass in Zugliano, near Udine. They are Detonazione, a band from the surrounding area. They will play five pieces and read a poem – “Matin”, by Arthur Rimbaud. Some might say it’s « mezzo» punk and new-wave. They don’t give a damn! On this night, they’ll be the voice of peripheral youths stupefied by boredom and frustrated with all their aspirations. But Detonazione will turn their despair into energy to keep them shouting and playing loud. Today, next to the church are fields where vines grow, and a winemaker, Alessandro Job, makes natural wine. The artist Fabien Marques rings his bell and invites him to collaborate on creating a wine dedicated to the 1983 concert.

Inspired by the powerful sounds and history of Detonation , “Matin” is a tribute to that night's concert and a critical gesture that resonates in the Udine gallery between photography, installations, and sounds. The gallery becomes the venue for the creation of a unique wine made by the Villa Job winery from a blend of rarely matched grape varieties. Just as the band’s music pushed boundaries through experimentation with raw improvisation and fusion, “Matin” is the result of a shared exploration of taste and avant-garde music. The exhibition space will also feature a work by artist Matteo Attruia, who Marques invited to propose an artwork.
